Cahors is the traditional home to the malbec grape in southwest France. Two generations of the Berenger family produce this wine on their 12-hectare organic estate. All hand pruned, harvested and sorted. Good tannins, tightly wound. Leave it a little time to open up. Velvet in a glass!
Pace Nebbiolo Langhe
The color is a lively ruby red, the nose is fresh with hints of small red fruits, with time it tends to evolve to spicy notes. On the palate it is dry, enveloping, the tannins are silky, non-drying; the alcohol blends perfectly giving sweetness and fullness. The aftertaste is intense with fresh fruit sensations that excellently close the taste
Owen Roe Sharecropper’s Syrah
Another hot vintage gives us a bold Washington state Syrah, bursting with savory hints of peppercorn, bell pepper and licorice. Subtle hints of blueberry and black cherry coat the palate with a smooth mouthfeel of balanced acidity and gripping tannins.
Domaine Jean-Louis Chave Cotes du Rhone
Deep ruby-red. Smoke-accented cherry, dark berries and licorice on the perfumed nose, which takes on succulent floral and herb nuances with air. Smooth, concentrated and gently sweet, offering mineral- and spice-accented black raspberry, cherry and violet pastille flavors and a spicy jolt of cracked pepper. Finishes supple, sweet and quite long, with harmonious tannins and lingering florality.
